The Coffee Lounge was launched in May 2011 as a community regeneration Enterprise Café within the building of Swan Bank Methodist Church in Burslem. Following the official opening performed by the then Local MP for Stoke on Trent, Joan Walley, and supported by church members, local residents and businesses, the Coffee Lounge has gone from strength to strength. The initial development and formative first 5 years were supported by the Big Lottery and regeneration grants and the Coffee Lounge has now become a fantastic venue in the centre of Burslem where you can access excellent coffee, good food and a very friendly welcome.
The aim of the team is to work with the local community creating a venue to fulfil their needs, providing a safe space, room to relax and sensibly priced food and drink. The Coffee Lounge is run by Lynn Fairweather and Glynis Cooper who are supported by an excellent team of volunteers.
